H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK spoke at the Strategic Leadership Dialogue held during the IsDB Halal Economy Leadership Forum and the special AZHAB Forum, on the margins of the 2026 IsDB Group Annual Meetings in Baku on 18 June 2026.

She emphasised the role of regional institutions in integrating halal ecosystems across OIC Member Countries. Citing estimates of a global halal economy worth approximately US$7.4 trillion in 2023 and projected to approach US$11 trillion by 2028, she called for stronger institutional capacities, policy coordination and harmonisation, support for MSMEs, and closer links between Islamic finance, production and trade.
