Within the framework of SESRIC Tobacco Free OIC Capacity Building Programme (TF-CaB) and in collaboration with the Turkish Green Crescent Society (YEŞİLAY), SESRIC will organise a Training Course on “The Price of Addiction: Health Risks and Economic Losses of Tobacco” on 15-16 July 2026 in Amman, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.  

A competent expert will share the Turkish experience on the topic with staff from the Ministry of Health and relevant national institutions in Jordan. The activity is organised in recognition of the valuable role of the esteemed Ministry of Health as the current Chair of the Islamic Conference of Health Ministers (ICHM).

The training course aims to strengthen the capacity of healthcare professionals and relevant stakeholders in Jordan to address the health and economic impacts of tobacco use through enhanced knowledge, improved cessation services, and stronger tobacco control efforts and collaboration.

SESRIC’s TF-CaB Programme aims to facilitate the development and implementation of sustainable national tobacco control strategies in the OIC Member States.
