H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Mehmet ARABACI, the newly appointed President of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat). She extended her congratulations on his recent appointment and wished him success in his new role.

The meeting highlighted the strong and longstanding cooperation between the two institutions. They exchanged views on statistical areas for collaboration within the scope of the MoU signed in 2024 through flagship programmes highlighting TurkStat’s role in the agricultural census, demographic and social statistics among others. The two sides also discussed the preparations for the upcoming 15th Session of the OIC-StatCom.

TurkStat remains one of the leading NSOs under the StatCaB Programme, having supported 129 activities across various statistical domains.
