SESRIC and the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU ) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 2 July 2026 at SESRIC Headquarters in Ankara.

The signing ceremony commenced with opening remarks by H.E. Dr. Ahmad Kawesa SENGENDO, Assistant Secretary General of the OIC for Economic Affairs, and Mr. Abdunur Muhammad SEKINDI, Director General of Science and Technology at the OIC.

The MoU establishes a framework for cooperation aimed at facilitating and strengthening collaboration in areas of mutual interest through the exchange of knowledge and expertise, contributing to the development of the education sector as well as technical and vocational education and training (TVET) across the OIC Countries.
