H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK moderated the panel “Women at the Frontline of Societal Resilience,” organised by KADEM under the “Allies in Ankara” initiative on 8 July 2026. The discussion explored women’s roles in responding to crises and strengthening community resilience.

The panel featured contributions from Dr. Canan SARI of KADEM, Assoc. Prof. Azize Aslıhan NİŞANCI of Marmara University and KADEM, Ms. Mariam KHAN of UNFPA, Prof. Orhan TATAR of AFAD and Ms. Martina ROGATO of HRIC. Topics included post-earthquake recovery, maternal health, disaster coordination and policy advocacy. In closing, H.E. SELÇUK stressed that women are decision-makers, caregivers, peacebuilders and leaders of recovery, not merely beneficiaries of resilience efforts.
