Mr. Muzamil EDEMA, Researcher at SESRIC, delivered a presentation at the workshop “Building a Skilled Workforce Through Vocational Education Collaboration Across OIC Countries,” held during the International Education Summit & Expo at the COMSTECH Secretariat in Islamabad on 19 August 2026.

His presentation reviewed demographic opportunities, labour market trends and skills challenges across OIC Member Countries, including youth unemployment, young people not in employment, education or training (NEET), low labour force participation and skills mismatches. He highlighted the role of technical and vocational education and training (TVET), SESRIC’s OIC-VET Programme and the OIC-TVET Strategic Roadmap 2035 in strengthening cooperation and workforce skills.
