H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK met with H.E. Amb. Khalid bin Mohammed AL-SHAREEF, the newly appointed Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). During the meeting, H.E. SELÇUK congratulated him on his appointment and conveyed her best wishes for success in the discharge of his new responsibilities.

H.E. SELÇUK highlighted SESRIC’s longstanding cooperation with Saudi Arabia, noting that more than 200 capacity-building activities had been organised for the benefit of Saudi national institutions, contributing to the strengthening of institutional capacities and the promotion of knowledge exchange and good practices.

She also expressed her appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s continued support for the development of statistical systems across OIC Member Countries, particularly through hosting the 15^th Session of the OIC Statistical Commission (OIC-StatCom) and major international data events, including the UN World Data Forum 2026. In this regard, she highlighted SESRIC’s close cooperation with the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) in connection with the Forum.
