On the sidelines of the opening of the Workshop on “Community-Led Management of Islamic and Rural Heritage Tourism”, H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Sherif Fathi ATTIA, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities of Egypt.

The two sides discussed opportunities to further strengthen cooperation between SESRIC and the Ministry, including through the prospective signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). They also explored potential areas of collaboration in tourism statistics and capacity building, as well as the implementation of activities under SESRIC’s Tourism Capacity Building Programme (Tourism-CaB), with a particular focus on facilitating the exchange of experiences and good practices among OIC Member Countries.
