H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Dr. Anas Radwan SALIM, Head of the Planning and Statistics Commission (PSC) of the Syrian Arab Republic, on 30 September 2026 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The meeting provided an opportunity to explore avenues for strengthening statistical cooperation and capacity-building efforts between SESRIC and the PSC. Discussions focused on identifying priority areas for collaboration, particularly population and housing censuses, as well as business and agricultural surveys, with a view to supporting the development and enhancement of official statistics in the Syrian Arab Republic.

SESRIC remains committed to strengthening national statistical systems across OIC Member Countries through the promotion of knowledge-sharing, technical cooperation, and targeted capacity-building programmes.
