H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK, Director General of SESRIC, held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Basílio Zefanias MUHATE, Minister of Economy of Mozambique, on 2 November 2026, on the margins of the 42nd Ministerial Session of COMCEC in Istanbul, Türkiye.
The meeting provided an opportunity to explore avenues for further strengthening cooperation between SESRIC and Mozambique in the areas of statistics, research and capacity building, with particular emphasis on industrialisation, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), trade and tourism. Both sides also discussed the prospect of concluding a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between SESRIC and the Ministry of Economy of Mozambique, as well as Mozambique’s potential participation in the OIC SME Network (OIC-SMENET).
