H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK, Director General of SESRIC, met with H.E. Prof. Dr. Yaqoub ALREFAEI, Minister of Finance of Kuwait, on the margins of the 42nd COMCEC Ministerial Session in Istanbul, Türkiye.

During the meeting, H.E. SELÇUK expressed appreciation for Kuwait’s continued support to SESRIC and briefed the Minister on the Centre’s activities in statistics, research and training, including the OIC Statistics Database (OICStat), socioeconomic outlook reports and statistical capacity-building programmes. She also highlighted Kuwait’s active participation in SESRIC activities and its representation on the Board of Directors.

The two sides exchanged views on strengthening institutional cooperation and explored opportunities for additional support, including potential collaboration with private institutions. The Minister reaffirmed Kuwait’s appreciation of SESRIC’s work and expressed readiness to consider proposals for joint projects and initiatives through the relevant focal points.
