Training Course on 'Occupational Hygiene: Chemical Factors and Chemical Exposure' in Oman

The Centre organised training on “Occupational Hygiene: Chemical Factors and Chemical Exposure” at the Environmental and Occupational Health Department of Ministry of Health in the Sultanate of Oman, on 25-27 April 2011. The Course was provided by Mr. Nihat Eğri, an expert from the Centre for Occupational Health and Safety of the Republic of Turkey, and was attended by staff members of the Environmental and Occupational Health Department of Ministry of Health in the Sultanate of Oman.

The training course on “Occupational Hygiene” mainly covered the following subjects:

  • Storing, Handling and Transporting of Chemicals
  • Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH)
  • Limit Values of Dangerous Chemicals
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Air Sampling Methods
  • Analytical Methods
  • Heavy Metal Exposure in Air
