SESRIC, IDB and TIKA signs MoU

SESRIC, Islamic Development Bank Group (IDB) and Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) sign a very timely MoU concerning expanding their cooperation for enhancing the socio-economic development in the OIC member countries in a more structured manner on 26 June 2014 on the sideline of the 39th IDB Annual Meeting held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The MoU was jointly signed by Prof. Savaş Alpay, Director General of SESRIC, Dr. Ahmad Muhamed Ali, President of the IDB and Dr. Serdar Çam, President of TIKA.

Based on the willingness of Turkey to share its experience and expertise with IDB Member Countries, the MoU outlines the general framework of cooperation for capacity development at three levels, namely individual, organizational and enabling environment, in order to assist them in poverty eradication, and inclusive and sustainable development.

On the occasion of signing of the MoU, Prof. Savaş Alpay, Director General of SESRIC, expressed his pleasure for the close partnership among these three institutions, and stated that this MoU will provide a general framework for facilitating collaboration and cooperation in promoting and undertaking mutual interests in member countries.
