The SESRIC delegation, led by H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK, Director General of SESRIC, paid a courtesy visit to the Central Bank of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan (CBJ) on 14 June 2023 at its Headquarters in Amman, Jordan.

H.E. Ziad Asa’ad GHANMA and H.E. Khaldoun Abdullah AL-WSHAH, Deputy Governors of the Central Bank of Jordan, warmly welcomed the SESRIC delegation. H.E. SELÇUK, in turn, expressed her profound gratitude and appreciation for the generous hospitality.

During the meeting, H.E. SELÇUK highlighted SESRIC's work in the area of central banks and monetary authorities, which includes capacity-building programmes such as the Centre's Central Banks Capacity Building Programme (CB-CaB), as well as relevant projects and reports. She emphasized that SESRIC's efforts over the years contribute to the development of OIC countries in the field of banking and finance. She also encouraged the Central Bank of Jordan to participate and contribute to SESRIC activities and projects by sharing its valuable expertise with counterparts in other Member Countries.

The CBJ team expressed their gratitude for SESRIC's active role in enhancing human and institutional capacities in the field of banking and finance in the OIC. They also stressed their willingness and readiness to strengthen the existing ties with the Centre.

The visit ended with both parties expressing their desire to establish closer cooperation in areas of common interest.
