H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK engaged a bilateral meeting with  H.E. Wael Yousef ALENZI, Ambassador of  Kuwait to Türkiye, on 13 July 2023. The visit provided an auspicious occasion for SESRIC to convey its profound gratitude for the continuous support extended by the State of Kuwait over the years,  while also seeking avenues to fortify the existing ties.

During visit, H.E. SELÇUK provided an overview of the Centre's vigorous endeavors and accentuated the notable accomplishments made in fulfilling its mandate. Since 2007, SESRIC has impressively implemented 1080 activities, encompassing an array of training courses, workshops, seminars, study visits, and meetings. Collectively, these initiatives have immensely benefited close to 33 thousand trainees and participants within OIC countries.

The partnership between SESRIC and Kuwait has been particularly effective, with Kuwait actively participating in SESRIC's capacity-building and training activities. Kuwait's commendable efforts in social and economic matters are consistently reflected in SESRIC's technical reports, which identify Kuwait as a leading OIC country showcasing exemplary practices.

H.E. SELÇUK underlined that SESRIC places great importance on maintaining strong ties with national institutions of the OIC countries, including those in Kuwait. The collaboration with the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) of Kuwait, particularly, has been smooth and productive, ensuring accurate representation of Kuwait's statistical facts and figures.

At the end of the meeting, both parties expressed their willilngness to exploring further possibilities for strengthening cooperation and increasing Kuwait's effective presence in the SESRIC's activities. By joining forces with Kuwait and leveraging their expertise, SESRIC aims to achieve mutual goals for the benefit of the OIC countries.
