H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK Paid a Visit to H.E. Khadidjata TOURE, Ambassador of Côte d'Ivoire to Türkiye

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Ms. Khadidjata TOURE, Ambassador of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire to the Republic of Türkiye, as part of her continuous endeavours to strengthen ties with the OIC Member States’ missions to Türkiye, the host country of SESRIC. During the visit, H.E. SELÇUK and H.E. TOURE held a meeting at the premises of the Embassy of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire in Ankara, Türkiye.

During the meeting, H. E. SELÇUK expressed her appreciation for the warm hospitality extended to her during this visit. She provided a brief overview of SESRIC’s impactful work in its mandate areas, featuring several research reports, capacity building programmes, and statistical activities, particularly the ones that concern Côte d'Ivoire. She also commended the performance of Côte d'Ivoire in several social and economic indicators, as stated in different reports and studies prepared by SESRIC.

Additionally, H.E. SELÇUK briefed on the existing collaborative endeavours between SESRIC and some national institutions of Côte d'Ivoire, including capacity building activities on various socio-economic topics, which Ivorian national institutions both benefited from and contributed to. Acknowledging their generous support in these activities, H.E. SELÇUK also highlighted SESRIC’s readiness for further expansion of this cooperation through various potential opportunities and with the establishment of more partnerships.

SESRIC has organised a total of 88 capacity-building programmes, tailored to enhance the capabilities of public institutions in the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire. Notably, the Ministry of Transport of Côte d’Ivoire played an instrumental role by providing experts who shared valuable insights during the Workshop on "Regulatory Framework for Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) in Transport Sector". Furthermore, SESRIC has conducted 15 activities in collaboration with Côte d’Ivoire's national authorities, leveraging their technical support and expertise across diverse socio-economic domains.

The visit concluded with both parties expressing optimism about the prospects for strengthening partnership between the two institutions.
