Bilateral Meeting Between H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK and H.E. Dr. Yasser Ahmed HASSAN, Director of ILO Office for Türkiye

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Dr. Yasser Ahmed HASSAN, Director of the International Labour Organization Türkiye Office (ILO Türkiye) at the SESRIC HQs. The meeting served as an opportunity for both parties to explore potential areas of cooperation and discuss ongoing and future initiatives, aimed at enhancing collaboration in fıeld of labour and social protection.

During the meeting, H.E. SELÇUK stated that SESRIC, as a subsidiary organ of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), is commited to the implementation of the OIC-2025 Programme of Action, which recognizes the significance of labour market development in improving the quality of life, promoting employment, and ensuring social protection for OIC countries.

Since 2018, SESRIC has conducted a total of 72 activities, benefiting more than 2,900 participants from 44 OIC countries. These activities include training courses, workshops, webinars, and study visits.

On his turn, H.E. Dr. HASSAN thanked H.E. SELÇUK for her warm welcome and highlighted that ILO Türkiye Office has actively contributed to SESRIC's capacity building activities by delivering presentations in various areas of labour and social protection.

At the end of the meeting, both SESRIC and ILO Office of Türkiye expressed their commitment to enhancing collaboration in various aspects. Additionally, both parties emphasized the importance of closer collaboration within the UN-OIC Cooperation Matrix, OIC-PESNET, OIC-OSHNET, OIC-VET Programme and SESRIC’s other capacity building programs.
