SESRIC and the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan marked a new chapter in their collaboration with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan.

During her speech, H.E. SELÇUK highlighted that the MoU symbolizes a strong partnership and close ties, focusing on enhancing social security, protection, and employment services across OIC countries. She emphasized that this partnership initiates a dynamic period in SESRIC’s collaborative efforts with the Azerbaijani Ministry.

This agreement underlines the commitment of both institutions to advance technical collaboration in public employment services, social protection, and youth empowerment. The MoU symbolizes a shared belief in the power of this collaboration to achieve considerable progress in these critical areas.

The signing event aligns with both organizations' dedication to addressing global and regional labour challenges as outlined in SESRIC's report titled “OIC Labour Market 2023”. With a focus on tackling unemployment and enhancing social protection, the partnership is set to contribute positively to labour market functionality in the OIC region.

This cooperation not only leverages the expertise and innovative approaches of both organizations but also embodies their commitment to the OIC-2025 Programme of Action, the OIC Labour Market Strategy 2025, and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals. It is a step towards realizing a prosperous, equitable, and sustainable future, reflecting the spirit of cooperation that drives progress.
