H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK paid a visit to H.E. Amr Soliman Abdelmeguid ELHAMAMY, the Ambassador of Egypt to Ankara to explore opportunities for further increasing collaboration between SESRIC and the relevant national institutions in Egypt.

H.E. SELÇUK highlighted that SESRIC, being a subsidiary organ of the OIC, has organized 100 activities, bringing together 229 participants from Egypt in various capacity-building programs. The array of activities encompasses diverse formats including training courses, workshops, webinars, network meetings, and projects, conducted through both virtual and physical modalities. These activities also include, among others, the IbnSina Health Capacity Building Programme, involving the Ministry of Health and Population of Egypt.

Moreover, SESRIC's collaboration with the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) of Egypt within the OIC Statistical Commission is deemed productive and smooth where CAPMAS has actively participated in OIC-StatCom sessions since 2011.

On his turn, H.E. ELHAMAMY thanked H.E. SELÇUK for her visit and highlighted that Egypt encourages active participation of its national institutions in capacity-building activities organized by SESRIC. These collaborations include joint activities on tourism-related topics, collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Population of Egypt, and contribution to the OIC events organized in Egypt.

At the end of the meeting, both representatives renewed the commitment of SESRIC and Egypt to strengthen cooperation and mutual understanding for the socio-economic development of OIC countries.
