Workshop on ‘Sharing Best Practices: Youth Employment Projects in OIC Member Countries’

Within the framework of the OIC Public Employment Services Network (OIC-PESNET) Working Plan 2024-2026, and the Public Employment Services Capacity Building Programme (PES-CaB), SESRIC successfully organized a Workshop on “Sharing Best Practices: Youth Employment Projects in OIC Member Countries” on 28–29 May 2025 through an online video conferencing platform.

The workshop aimed to provide a platform for sharing successful youth empowerment initiatives from OIC Member Countries, while exploring strategic policymaking, key challenges, and emerging opportunities in youth employment. The workshop was conducted in French for the benefit of 94 policymakers, experts, and researchers from national institutions of 15 French-speaking OIC Member Countries.

The workshop included six sessions focusing on youth employment projects and policies from six different OIC Member Countries: Benin, Cameroon, Mauritania, Morocco, Senegal, and Togo. These sessions were delivered by experts from:

  • National Agency for Employment of Benin,
  • National Employment Fund of Cameroon,
  • National Employment Agency of Mauritania,
  • National Agency for the Promotion of Employment and Skills of Morocco,
  • Ministry of Youth, Entrepreneurship and Employment of Senegal,
  • National Employment Agency of Togo.
