Within the framework of its Occupational Safety and Health Capacity Building Programme (OSH-CaB), SESRIC organised a Webinar on “Safe Work in Construction Industry” in collaboration with the Directorate General of Occupational Safety and Health (DGOSH) of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security of the Republic of Türkiye, on 29 July 2025 through an online video conferencing platform.

The webinar included expert-led sessions and was attended by 67 professionals from relevant ministries and institutions across 19 OIC countries.

The aim of the webinar was to raise awareness and promote the implementation of the OSH practices to ensure safer working environments in the construction industry. It highlighted the critical importance of safety in construction, explored innovative solutions such as digital tools to improve site safety, and addressed the impact of environmental factors on workers’ well-being.

The webinar covered the following key topics:

• The Importance of Construction Safety.
• Digitalising Safety in Construction.
• Climate Change and Thermal Stress in Construction.
