Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is concerned with the safety, health and welfare of employees in the workplace. The primary focus of OSH is on the prevention of hazards. Hazard control and prevention strategies have been on the agenda of many developing countries during the past half century to assure healthful workplace conditions and security for every working man and woman. Accordingly, training on occupational safety and health is a fundamental element in reducing occupational risk of injury and disease.

In this regard, SESRIC initiated the Occupational Health and Safety Capacity Building Programme (OSH-CaB) in 2010 to support the efforts of the OIC Member States in improving workplace safety and health. Within this framework, the Centre organises capacity building activities by using different modalities such as short-term training courses, training workshops and study visits according to the needs and capacities of the occupational health and safety institutions in the OIC Member States.
Questionnaire and Terms of Reference (ToR) Files

SESRIC urges all national occupational health and safety institutions in the OIC Member States to participate in the Occupational Health and Safety Capacity Building Programme (OSH-CaB). The valuable participation of national institutions will help SESRIC to effectively plan and implement capacity building training activities which will play an important role in the improvement of human capital in the OIC Member States.
