Training Course on ‘Unlocking Potential: Training NEET Youth for Job Readiness for a Better Economic Inclusion’

Within the framework of the OIC Public Employment Services Network (OIC-PESNET) Working Plan 2024-2026 and the Public Employment Services Capacity Building Programme (PES-CaB), SESRIC, in collaboration with the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR), organised a Training Course on “Unlocking Potential: Training NEET Youth for Job Readiness for a Better Economic Inclusion” on 5-6 November 2025 through a video conferencing platform. The training course was provided by competent experts from İŞKUR for the benefit of 73 participants from the national public employment services (PES) agencies and institutions of 28 OIC member countries.

The training course aimed to provide a clear understanding of the support systems and programmes available to help NEET youth gain meaningful employment and achieve financial independence. The course also focused on the specific obstacles these young people face, offering practical strategies to overcome them and succeed in the workforce.

The training course covered various topics, including:

  • Job and Vocational Counselling Services
  • Profiling System and Branch Approach for Guidance
  • On the Job Training Programme For Future Professions
  • İŞKUR Youth Programme
