SESRIC Participated the 7th International Culture Day Organised by OSTİM Technical University

SESRIC participated in the 7th International Culture Day organised by OSTİM Technical University on 6 May 2026 at its campus in Ankara. The fair served as a platform to explore diverse cultures, discover unique traditions and celebrate the University’s global community, bringing together students, academicians, and representatives of diplomatic missions.

The fair commenced with opening remarks delivered by Prof. Dr. Mustafa POLAT, Vice Rector of OSTİM Technical University, followed by various cultural performances of student groups from the participating countries.

At the fair, student from nearly 30 countries set up booths where they displayed their local products, traditional outfits, national dishes and handicrafts. SESRIC team also introduced the Centre’s mandate areas and informed the visitors on the various capacity building activities, initiatives and projects, as well as the research studies and reports, aimed at supporting socio-economic development among the OIC Member Countries. Students had the opportunity to learn about SESRIC’s work and efforts in various domains as well as its Emerging Talents Capacity Building Programme (SET-CAB), which is an initiative designed to support young professionals from OIC countries to acquire practical knowledge in a professional and
multi-cultural working environment at the Centre’s Headquarters in Ankara.

SESRIC’s participation in the 7th International Culture Day facilitated direct engagement with international students pursuing their studies in Türkiye, which highlights the role of cultural diplomacy and youth participation as a crucial driver for socioeconomic development.
