SESRIC Conversations on 'Digital Addiction and Youth Mental Health'

Date: 30 June 2026
Venue: SESRIC Headquarters-Ankara - Türkiye

SESRIC, in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Türkiye Country Office, will organise a SESRIC Conversations session on "Digital Addiction and Youth Mental Health" on 30 June 2026 at SESRIC Headquarters in Ankara.

This session aims to provide a dynamic, interactive platform among diplomatic missions, national public institutions, academia, and civil society organisations to collectively address the profound, multifaceted impact of technology on modern youth development. By bringing together panellists with multi-sectoral expertise, the session will thoroughly analyse the policy frameworks, regulatory measures, and evidence-based intervention strategies required to mitigate escalating digital risks, including behavioural addiction, social isolation, and exposure to digital violence, while building a safer, more resilient digital ecosystem for the next generation.

SESRIC Conversations Series is designed primarily as a high-level platform for diplomatic engagement, policy exchange, and cooperation on various socioeconomics topics of interest to reaffirm collective commitment, highlight shared priorities among OIC countries, and strengthen visibility for collaboration towards sustainable development.
