The Second Annual Islamic Finance Conference: The Role of Islamic Finance in Eradicating Poverty and Income Inequality

The Second Annual Islamic Finance Conference will be organised by the Indonesian Ministry of Finance in Yogyakarta, Indonesia on 23-24 August 2017 under the theme “The Role of Islamic Finance in Eradicating Poverty and Income Inequality”.

The Conference targets participants from public and private sectors such as financial regulators and policymakers, financial institutions, multilateral agencies and scholars. The main objective of this conference is to strengthen the role of Islamic finance to eradicate poverty and to cute income inequality in order to support sustainable development goals and it also aims to provide a platform for high evel dialogue amongst participants and finally to enhance understanding on the implimentation of Islamic social funds to help overcome socio economic problems which is part of the millenium development goal and go along way to aid the main goal eradication of poverty and income inequality.
