Within the framework of the celebrations of the first edition of the ‘OIC Youth Day’, ICYF-DC will organise a one-day High Level International Conference on ‘State of Muslim Youth’ on 26 September 2017 in Istanbul, Turkey.

The Conference intends to highligh the ‘OIC Youth Day’ by raising awareness on youth related issues, celebrating youth creativity as critical factor for national development, and boosting exchange of best practices for implementing more efficient youth policies. The Conference will also launch the report on the ‘State of Youth in the OIC Member States’ , jointly prepared by SESRIC and ICYF-DC, as mandated by the Third Session of the Islamic Conference of Youth and Sports Ministers held on 5-7 October 2016 in Istanbul, Turkey.

The ‘OIC Youth Day’ is annually celebrated on Third of September as of the decision adopted by the 44th Council of Foreign Ministers on 10-11 July 2017 in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire. The first edition of the ‘OIC Youth Day’ will be celebrated under the theme of ‘OIC Youth Day: Solidarity in Action’.
