SESRIC will attend the “Open-ended Meeting of Intergovernmental Experts for the preparation of the OIC Strategy to Empower the Family and Marriage Institution” on 01-02 October 2019 in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Experts from the Ministries of Social and Family Affairs and relevant OIC institutions will come together to discuss the draft of the OIC Strategy for the Empowerment of the Family and Marriage Institution. The aim is to enhance the draft strategy and provide an inclusive platform for feedback and suggestions.

SESRIC, who played an important role in preparing the draft strategy, will provide important insights and expertise at the meeting to consolidate the finalisation of the strategy.

The OIC has introduced the project of preparing a comprehensive strategy for Family and Marriage Institution Empowerment with the purpose to strengthen the family as a core component of the society in the Islamic world.
