Date: 26-28 November 2019
Venue: Istanbul - Türkiye

SESRIC, in partnership with the Diplomacy Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, will organise a training course on “Conflict Resolution and Mediation for OIC Junior Diplomats” on 26-28 November 2019 in Istanbul, Turkey.

The 2019 OIC Training Course for Junior Diplomats from the OIC Member States will be implemented under the framework of the OIC Diplomacy Capacity Building Programme and will provide training in conflict analysis, negotiation strategies and mediation to junior diplomats who wish to learn or refine their skills in these areas. The programme will be based on the latest knowledge and information, with the primary focus on preventing and resolving disputes throughout the OIC. The training is designed for young diplomats at the second or third secretary position.

SESRIC launched the Training Course for Junior Diplomats in November 2017 with the aim to enhance the diplomatic capacities and skills of young diplomats from the OIC Member States and help them acquire necessary knowledge about the role of the OIC and understand the major regional and international issues.

During the last two years, SESRIC has organised two training programmes with this scope and hosted relevant representatives from the OIC General Secretariat, OIC institutions and other international organisations, who contributed to the programme by making presentations on various issues of relevance to the OIC.
