SESRIC participated in the 21^st Meeting of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC) Financial Cooperation Working Group, which was held virtually on 30 April 2024. The meeting focused on the theme “Digital Transformation of Payment Systems in OIC Member Countries”. It brought together relevant representatives from the financial authorities of the OIC countries and relevant OIC institutions.

The session commenced with an insightful presentation on a research report focused on the aforementioned theme, followed by a case country analysis, providing valuable insights into the opportunities for digital payment transformation within OIC countries.

Subsequently, representatives from OIC countries, international institutions, and private sector shared their diverse experiences on the topic, highlighting the importance of leveraging digital advancements for inclusive growth in the member countries.

The meeting concluded with a presentation from the COMCEC Coordination Office on the COMCEC Project Support Programmes.
