SESRIC participated in the 22^nd Meeting of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC) Trade Working Group, held virtually on 6 May 2024. The meeting focused on the theme “Improving Quality Infrastructure in the OIC Member Countries”. It brought together 46 representatives from relevant national public and private institutions of 18 OIC Countries, as well as international and regional organisations.

Key highlights of the meeting included presentations by project consultants, outlining their methodology and initial findings on enhancing quality infrastructure in OIC member countries. Moreover, experts from national institutions and international organisations shared their experiences and best practices related to national quality and metrology policies and applications.

The discussions during the meeting revolved around the challenges and obstacles impeding the improvement of quality infrastructure. Participants provided valuable insights and guidance to the project consultants, enriching their research activities and shaping future strategies.
