SESRIC organised a virtual Training Course on “Promoting Islamic and Rural Heritage Tourism through Innovative Marketing Techniques and Storytelling” on 4-5 August 2026 as part of its Project on “Strengthening Egypt’s Cultural Tourism Destination Brand through Sharing Experiences”. The project is co-funded under the 13th Call for Project Proposals of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organisation of the Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC) Project Funding.

H.E. Abdul Raheem Abdul LATHEEF, Ambassador of the Maldives to Türkiye, paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK at SESRIC HQs.

SESRIC hosted a delegation from Bizim Afrika, a non-profit association working to empower African youth and communities in Türkiye, at its Headquarters in Ankara. The visit provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange information on their respective areas of work and to discuss prospects for cooperation in support of African OIC Member Countries.

SESRIC had the honour of hosting H.E. Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, Minister of Family and Social Services of the Republic of Türkiye, at its Headquarters.

Within the framework of its continuous efforts to strengthen institutional capacities and enhance the quality of its corporate communication, SESRIC organised an in-house training on Corporate Event Photography for its staff members on 29 July 2026 at the Centre's Headquarters in Ankara. The training was organised as part of SESRIC's Human Resources Capacity Building Programme (HR-CaB), which aims to enhance the competencies and skills of SESRIC staff, in line with the Centre's commitment to professional development.

H.E. Mevlüt ÇAVUŞOĞLU, Head of the Turkish Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye, paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK at SESRIC.

SESRIC organised a virtual Training Course on “Building Institutional Capacity for Innovative SME Financing Models” on 28-29 July 2026 as part of its Project on “Empowering SME Development Agencies with Innovative Financing Solutions under the OIC-SMENET Framework”. The project is co-funded under the 13^th Call for Project Proposals of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organisation of the Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC) Project Funding.

Within the framework of SESRIC Social Development Capacity Building Programme (SD-CaB) and in collaboration with the OIC General Secretariat, SESRIC organised a Webinar on “From Family Planning to Family Promotion: How to Achieve Pro-Natal Policies in the OIC Member Countries” on 28 July.

On the margins of the 17^th UN–OIC General Cooperation Meeting, H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK met with H.E. Gilbert F. Houngbo, Director-General of the International Labour Organization (ILO).

Within the framework of its Central Banks Capacity Building Programme (CB-CaB), SESRIC, in collaboration with the Participation Banks Association of Türkiye (TKBB), organised a one-day webinar on “Fundamentals and Practical Applications of Participation (Islamic) Banking, Takaful (Islamic Insurance), Islamic Mutual Funds, and Sukuk” on 24 July 2026 for the benefit of executive and core steering committee members of the Uganda Islamic Finance Cooperative Union (UGIFICU).

SESRIC participated in the High-Level Roundtable on Women in the Labour Market within OIC Countries, organised by the Women Development Organisation (WDO) on the margins of the 17^th UN-OIC General Meeting on Cooperation in Geneva.

SESRIC participated in the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Policy Design Workshop for the Development Strategy and Financing Platform held under the theme “Best Practices for Policy Action” on 22-24 July 2026 in Ankara, Türkiye.

SESRIC participated in the “Arab Regional Conference on Follow-Up to the Implementation of the Outcomes of the Amman–Berlin Summit on Persons with Disabilities,” held on 21–22 July 2026 in Amman, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK met with H.E. Amb. Muhammad Saeed SARWAR, Permanent Observer of the OIC to the United Nations Office at Geneva, on the margins of the 17^th UN–OIC General Cooperation Meeting.

Within the framework of its Environment Capacity Building Programme (Environment-CaB), SESRIC organised a Study Visit on “Exploring Energy Generation from Landfill” on 21-22 July 2026 in Konya, Republic of Türkiye, in collaboration with the Konya Metropolitan Municipality.

SESRIC and the Doha International Family Institute (DIFI) are co-organising an Expert Group Meeting (EGM) on the Family Wellbeing Index (FWI) on 16-17 July 2026 at SESRIC Headquarters in Ankara, Republic of Türkiye.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK visited the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Ankara to convey her deepest condolences to H.E. Faisal bin Abdullah Hamad Abdullah AL HANZAB on the passing of H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa AL THANI, the Father Amir of the State of Qatar.

Within the framework of SESRIC Tobacco Free OIC Capacity Building Programme (TF-CaB) and in collaboration with the Turkish Green Crescent Society (YEŞİLAY), SESRIC organised a Training Course on “The Price of Addiction: Health Risks and Economic Losses of Tobacco” on 15-16 July 2026 in Amman, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
