Competition Authorities Capacity Building Programme (CA-CaB)

Laws and regulations enforced by the Competition Authorities guarantee the efficient operation of domestic markets and an effective competition environment which is important for the countries to attract foreign direct investment. Competition Authorities assume the role of regulator in preventing cartelization and monopolization and in protecting the rights of the consumers by monitoring, regulating and supervising the markets to establish a well-functioning competition culture. In this regard, SESRIC developed the Capacity Building Programme for Competition Authorities in 2012 with a view to enhancing the capacities of human resources of the Competition Authorities operating in the OIC Member States.
