H.E. Hazem Issam Al-Khatib AL-TAMIMI, Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the Republic of Türkiye, paid a courtesy visit to the Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries. Where he was received by H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK at the Centre’s headquarters in Ankara.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Yasumasa NAGASAKA, State Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan, to discuss avenues for advancing cooperation in labour, social security, and health-related policies on the sidelines of the OECD Skills Summit 2026 in İstanbul.

H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK convened a bilateral meeting with Dr. Mohammed bin Saud bin Abdulaziz AL-MOQBEL, Director General of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States (ABEGS), on the margins of the OECD Skills Summit 2026 held in İstanbul to explore avenues for enhanced cooperation in the fields of education and training.

SESRIC participated in the Colonial Crimes Conference 2026, organised by OSTIM Technical University on 27-28 April 2026 in Ankara. The event served as a platform for discussions centered on the historical and contemporary consequences of colonialism.

SESRIC participated in the commemoration ceremony marking the 690^th anniversary of the birth of Emir Timur, held at the Social Sciences University of Ankara on 27 April 2026. The event was jointly organized by the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TÜRKSOY), the Social Sciences University of Ankara, and the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

SESRIC delegation headed by H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK participated in the OECD Skills Summit 2026, co-hosted with the Republic of Türkiye, on 27–28 April 2026 in Istanbul under the theme “Unlocking Talent Across Generations”.

SESRIC participated in the 26^th Meeting of the COMCEC Agriculture Working Group, held virtually on 22 April 2026 under the theme “Promoting a Resilient Agriculture Sector against Climate Change in OIC Member Countries”. The meeting brought together participants from relevant national institutions of OIC countries, as well as representatives of OIC institutions and other relevant international organisations.

SESRIC participated in the virtual training course titled as “General Concepts and Applications of Islamic Finance: An Introduction for Journalists”, organised by the Union of OIC News Agencies (UNA) in collaboration with the General Council for Islamic Banks and Financial Institutions (CIBAFI) on 22 April 2026.

SESRIC participated in the 25^th Meeting of the COMCEC Financial Cooperation Working Group, held on 22 April 2026 under the theme “Potential of Crowdfunding for Economic Development in the OIC Member Countries”. The meeting brought together participants from relevant national institutions of OIC countries and representatives of OIC institutions, as well as international and regional organisations.

SESRIC participated in the 26th Meeting of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC) Poverty Alleviation Working Group, which was held on 21 April 2026 under the theme “Preventing the Skill Mismatch in the Labour Market of the OIC Member Countries.”

SESRIC participated in the 26^th Meeting of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC) Tourism Working Group, which was held virtually on 21 April 2026. The meeting focused on the theme “Impacts of Climate Change and Mitigation Strategies for Sustainable OIC Tourism”. 

Within the framework of its Stock Exchanges Capacity Building Programme (SE-CaB), SESRIC, in collaboration with Borsa Istanbul, the Secretariat of the OIC Exchanges Forum (OICEF), organised a Training Course on “Entrepreneurship Ecosystem in OIC Capital Markets” on 21-22 April 2026.

Within the framework of its Public Audit Capacity Building Programme (PAU-CaB), and in collaboration with the Turkish Court of Accounts, SESRIC organised a virtual Training Course on “Digitalisation and Utilisation of AI in Audit” on 21–22 April 2026.

SESRIC participated in the 26th Meeting of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC) Trade Working Group, held on 20 April 2026 under the theme “Developing Effective Trade Financing Tools for Increasing Exports in the OIC Member Countries.” The meeting brought together 50 participants from national public and private institutions in OIC Countries, as well as representatives of relevant OIC institutions and international and regional organisations.

SESRIC and the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at SESRIC Headquarters in Ankara. The MoU aims to establish a framework for cooperation and enhance collaboration between the two institutions on matters related to social development.

SESRIC participated in the 26^th Meeting of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC) Transport and Communications Working Group, held on 20 April 2026. The meeting was held under the theme “Designing Integrated Multimodal Transport Systems in OIC Member Countries.” It convened 45 participants from national public and private institutions in OIC countries, as well as representatives of relevant OIC institutions and international and regional organisations.

Within the framework of its Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme, SESRIC, in collaboration with the National Institute of Statistics (INS) of Guinea,  organised a Technical Mission on “SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) Indicators” on 20-22 April 2026 in Conakry, Guinea.

During the Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF) 2026, H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK met with H.E. Andrea Meza Murillo, Deputy Executive Secretary of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification and former Minister of Environment and Energy.

On the margins of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2026, H.E. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Gérardine MUKESHIMANA, Vice-President of the International Fund for Agricultural Development.
